Social equity, environmental impact and exceptional roasting are concerns that drive our coffee sourcing.
We have partnered with De Mello Palheta, whose primary goal is to build and maintain relationships with coffee farmers; as well as with Gros Morne Coffee Roasters, whose mission is to roast small-batch, organic and fair trade beans right here in Newfoundland.
Our primary coffee, used in all of our espresso-based drinks, is called Dancing Goats, which boasts “rich dark chocolate notes [that] blend with a smooth hazelnut and orange finish to create a cup that’s familiar but forward.” It is a 100% Brazil Poços de Caldas – Natural Process coffee, with tasting notes of toffee, roasted hazelnut and milk chocolate.
We offer a rotating menu of drip, and french press coffee from blends developed with the best possible taste in mind, to single-origin coffees that reflect the seasonality of the coffee fruit.
In the same way that we consider our coffee, we have created a tailored tea menu in order to deliver the highest quality, ethically sourced product.
We are proud to be partnered with PLUCK, a tea company that works exclusively with Ethical Tea Partnership growers and utilizes uniquely Canadian ingredients to produce a fresh twist on each cup of tea.
Bangbelly Café is a fully licensed establishment.
We also offer feature cocktails and a curated wine list, developed by our Executive Chef, and Level II wine snob, Ian.
